Happy Easter

As I mentioned before we are preparing for new floors and this weekend things are really starting to move. My DH has been busy installing a new ceiling fan in the guest room - Whoohoo! and my new grooming tub in the basement while I've been cleaning linens and packing them into Space Bags all while preparing for Easter.

The old light fixture in the guest room. Hm, pretty plain..
The new fan - Much better...
You can see in this picture the ceiling will need some paint where the
old fixture was bigger then the new one.
The rest of the room is disassembled for now - I'll be posting pictures once the floors are in and our home is put back together.

This morning we will be taking a break to walk the bunnies -

Bob
 Lucy

Sorry no bunny picture of Claire.

Then back home for a Belgium waffle breakfast complete with strawberries, whipped cream and maple sausage - this should hold us over until dinner along with the Peeps and Cadbury eggs.

Back to the work on the money pit until dinner.

Thanks for stopping by, Happy Easter!

Framed Art - Crown

I just had to make another framed stamped art piece with this crown stamp after how my Blue Bird Picture turned out.

I followed the same steps only using my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine to cut the oval from 4 layers of Very Vanilla Card Stock to give it the added dimension.

I was able to remove the glass from the frame this time - placing it behind my art work.
I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the crown for extra Bling!  - Love these!

I love the Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla and Basic Black color combo.

Blue Bird Picture

This bird stamp is a favorite of mine so when I decided to make a framed piece this was perfect.

I had picked up the frame at Hobby Lobby a while back.

First I stamped the images on Watercolor Paper with StazOn ink and then water colored with Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, Pink Pirouette and Daffodil Delight ink, then sponged with Sahara Sand Ink and spattered with Soft Suede and Baja Breeze Ink using a Color Spritzer tool.

I cut a piece of On Board (chip board) the same size to add more dimension to my project. I used Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to attach the layers.

I added some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details to the birds wings to give them shimmer and also ran it around the outside to cover the exposed edges of the On Board Chip Board.

I used the Ribbon Punch to create an edge with Basic Black Card Stock.

A bow tied from Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon (another personal fav) attached with a Glue Dot is the finishing touch.

The glass was glued into the frame so I had to get creative here - 3-D. I added a 5"X7" piece of Baja Breeze Card Stock inside the frame and then attached my art piece to the front of the glass using Glue Dots.

I'm loving how it turned out!

Creative Corner Blog Hop

Spring Centerpiece

I created this Spring Centerpiece using the re-purposed cabinet door tray I made here.

I used moss, feathers and leftover burlap ribbon from another project.

I doubled the burlap and cut to fit the tray.
I shaped the moss into bird nests, then used hot glue to glue in place.

I created three nests to fit the tray.
I used First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper to cover plastic Easter eggs.
I cut the paper into strips and used mod podge to adhere to eggs.

I sponged the eggs with Baja Breeze Ink.
I used MDS (My Digital Studios digital program) to create the "Spring Welcome" in Basic Black Ink then used the splatter feature to add specks of Baja Breeze.

I cut the flags and sponged the edges with Sahara Sand Ink.
I used a Bone Folder to curl the flags then tucked the ends under the nests.

I added feathers for the finishing touch.
